Acne
Acne, or commonly known as pimples, is a skin condition (temporary or long term) that occurs when dead skin cells and oil from the skin clog hair follicles, and could erupt anytime like a time bomb. Typically, the condition includes blackheads or whiteheads, pimples, oily skin, and possible scarring. The breed of bacteria could also trigger inflammation and infection for even worse repercussions. Severe acne often gives an impression of reduced attractiveness, damaging the confidence of a person or causing emotional distress or even anxiety.
Treatment:The “K-Acne Formulae”
Acne treatment may be long term and sometimes requires certain lifestyle modifications. The K-Acne Formulae were proven to be the trusted and preferred solutions for many. Our treatments include but not limited to:- Chemical peels – use to treat mild acne problem by exfoliating the superficial skin layer as well as the epidermis or dermis layer that contains antibacterial property.
- Dual Yellow Laser – Specific wavelength of this laser destroys bacteria and shrinks the sebaceous gland to reduce sebum/oil production without damaging the surrounding skin.
- Long pulse Nd YAG – Was devised with the purpose of clinically drying up the pus in the acne and concurrently kills off bacteria.
- Topical cream with antibiotic and retinoid – For residual pimples after treatments or mild outbreaks.
- Oral antibiotic – Only in refractory cases and usually in combination with other treatments.
*Efficacy is subject to individual responses to treatments, and they may go in tandem depending on a patient’s condition and at the doctor’s discretion.

Scars
Scars is the result of biological process of wound repair in the skin, due to various types of traumas (physical injury to the skin), and has different levels of healing. The K Klinik offers a complete range of effective treatments for various types of scars:
Treatment: The.K Scar Repair
- Keloid: A form of scar that has grown excessively into a large piece of lump, reddish and can even form years after the injury.
Treatment: Triamcinolone Injection on the scar (overgrowth), and/or Resurfacing Erbium YAG Laser to remove the excess skin on growth surface. - Atrophic: A form of sunken/ pitted recess in the skin. Often associated with acnes, chicken pox or accidents.
Treatment: Long term treatment is necessary, and usually comes in combination of:- Resurfacing Erbium YAG Laser – Stimulates the production of new collagen in the skins with high-tech precision, decreasing downtime and maximizing the effect.
- PRP – Also known as Platelet Rich Plasma. The patient’s blood platelets would be separated from the plasma via centrifugation technology. The platelets which are able to activate cell growth will be applied on the skin surface and/or injected into the skin after laser treatment. It functions as a catalyst to skin renewal and recovery.
- Keloid: A form of scar that has grown excessively into a large piece of lump, reddish and can even form years after the injury.

Pigmentation Disorder
There are many forms of hyperpigmentation, and they are mostly caused by the excess production of dark pigments (melanin) in our skin. The disorder can be classified according to the depth of the pigments in the skin:
- Melasma: A skin condition characterized by brown or blue-gray patches or freckle-like spots. May be associated with pregnancy, oral contraceptive hormones, post menopause and sun exposure. Prevention with sun block is a must.
- Topical Hydroquinone Cream - a lightening cream for pigmentation
- Dual Yellow Laser – It clears the new blood vessels formation that causes Melasma, and/ or;
- QS Nd YAG Laser – Effectively helps break up the pigments under the skin.
- Freckles: Pigments are usually found in the superficial layer (surface) of the skin. They can be light brownish, yellow tan or slight reddish, and usually susceptible to sun exposure and thus occurs to individuals with light complexion.
Treatment: Q-switched Nd YAG laser is a treatment that offers better effect, as it breaks up the pigments on the skin surface. Routinely apply broad spectrum sun screen to ensure sustainable result. - Lentigenes: Appear almost similar to freckles but they are slightly larger and most commonly emerge at the previous site of sunburn. They are slightly darker compared to freckles and though the pigments are at superficial level, treatment may take longer than expected due to their size.
Treatment: Gold standard of treatment is using the Q-switched Nd YAG laser. It employs the same laser treatment as freckles but differ in sizes. - PIH: Also known as Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. A very common scenario and occurs in every one of us. It appears as a flattened, reddish mark due to increased pigmentation after trauma, injury, acne or even just an insect bite.
- Treatment: Treatments include
- Dual Yellow Laser – To clear the underlying pigments and blood vessels which helps to alleviate the hyperpigmentation disorder, and/or;
- or/and Q-witched Nd YAG Laser – To break up the pigments, hence less redness, and return the skin to its normal colour and tone.
Treatment: Treatments almost always require combination of:

Pore Reduction
Undesirably large pores, especially those on the face, is definitely one of the most maddening beauty problems for almost everyone who cares for their appearance. Pores are actually hair follicles that produce oil and sebum. While they might appear too tiny for the naked eyes, they do not open and close in rapid motion but rather they dilate like a camera lens. Although its impossible to completely flatten out pores, it doesn’t mean that they couldn’t be shrunk to your heart’s content.
Treatment: The.K Pore Minimiser
A wide selection of effective and safe treatment methods is offered to meet your expectations comfortably:
- Q-switch Nd Yag Laser Toning – An advanced technique used to laser ‘brush’ over the face. The heat produced by the laser helps to effectively ‘shrink’ the pores.
- Dual Yellow Laser – Despite the different technique, it provides virtually similar therapeutic effect as Q-switch Nd YAG Laser Toning and keeps the skin constantly hydrated.
- Mirodermabrasion – The tip of the device that touches your skin is specially designed with a jagged surface coarse enough to remove impurities trapped in the pores through gentle abrasion. The suction head piece, on the other hand, functions to extract the residual ‘dirt’.
-
Uneven Skin Tone
The condition is a representation of irregularities of skin tones due to hyperpigmentation of the normal skin. When micro spots combined, they appear in patches of darker and fairer skin tones. It might be the cause of underlying melasma, lentigines or freckles from uneven distribution of pigments.Treatment: The “K-Skin Tone Equalizer”
Treatment focuses on the elimination of the pigmented areas, providing uniformity to the skin tones using:
- Q-switch Nd YAG Laser – Effectively eliminating pigments and even out skin tones, and/ or;
- Dual Yellow Laser – Helps to decrease the reddishness by alleviating the inflammation of tiny blood vessels near to the surface of the skin.

Black Heads / White Heads / Comedones Removal
A comedone is a clogged hair follicle (pore) caused by the skin excrement (keratin) and oil. Whitehead is a closed comedone, or a blocked pore, whereas blackhead (opened comedone) is resulted from oxidized oil and pigmented excrements but not dirt. In the event of bacteria infection, it gives rise to pimples/ acnes.
One could remove black or white heads by squeezing, just like how it was commonly practised by most people, but it is sure to cause skin damage in the process. It increases the risk of transmitting infection and scarring, and aggravating the infection into deeper layers of the skin.
Please take note that by using “oil-based” skin care, make up, or greasy hair products, and also smoking could easily worsen the condition.Treatment: The.K Impurities Cleanser
Removal of comedones is possible with advanced treatment options provided by our aesthetic centre:
- Chemical Peel – A mild and soothing emulsion made from several types of fruit acid that is administered to the skin to kill-off bacteria and dissolve impurities, leaving the skin smoother, clean and clear after peeling off.
- Micordermabrasion – One tip functions as a skin scraper to remove the impurities and comedones, the other to help suck away dead or unwanted skin, and/ or;
- and/or Erbium YAG Laser – A stronger option used to etch off the impurities and comedones found deep in the pores. The peeling-off of the old skin helps to rejuvenate the growth of a new layer of soft, smoother skin texture.

Skin Hydration
The roots to skin dehydration could vary from skin aging (lacking sebum/ oil production) to the using of unsuitable skin care, or even due to certain skin diseases such as eczema. Self-care such as appropriate topical skin care moisturizer application and adequate intake of clear water is necessary to help promote rehydration.
Treatment: The.K Dermal Moisturising Booster
Skin Rehydration treatments expertly provided by the K Klinik include:
- Meso-Hyaluronic Acid – Hyaluronic Acid (a natural compound found in our skin which possesses the innate ability to absorb water by x1000 times), is delivered into the most superficial later of the skin via a series of injections, and/ or;
- Iontophoresis - A technique which uses electric current to deliver vitamin C serum or hyaluronic acid serum through the skin. It does not only allow, but ensures that the skin absorbs 100% of the serums administered. In popular (layman) term, it is sometimes called "an injection without needle".
-
Skin Rejuvenation
In close relation to our habits and lifestyles, the skin is more often than not, exposed to harmful environment such as UV rays, dust, or even contaminated air, thus making our skin “sick” and appears dull. To overcome this, repair treatments is vital to rejuvenate the skin, on top of proper skin care regime and sunblock application.
Treatment: The.K Meso-Rejuvenation
The repair treatments offered by our aesthetic centre revolves around skin rejuvenation, which includes inoculation of nutrients, multivitamins and hyaluronic acid into the superficial layer of the skin. We are employing the popular mesotherapy treatment and taking it further by incorporating our own technique and vitamin concoctions.

Skin Tag Removal
A skin tag is a small and often non-threatening skin growth, usually on the eyelids, necks, armpits, groin folds and under breasts. Despite their harmless nature, they are cosmetically not appealing. Destroying them is the only way to keep them from growing more.
Treatment: Laser Skin Tag Removal
Numb cream shall be applied before the procedure. Erbium YAG Laser, a highly specific laser machine is used to ablate (melting or eroding) the skin tag away, all with minimal bleeding and virtually painless.
-
Oil Seeds (Milia) Removal
This is also known as ‘milk spots’ in layman term. The tiny, whitish bumps could be commonly found around the eyes or the nose. They are cause by the clogging of sweat glands, and often occurs after certain skin conditions (dryness, rosacea - blushing or flushing and visible blood vessels in the face). It also happens when the pores are clogged with skin care or makeup products. There is no concrete way to permanently prevent them from forming, but luckily there are solid methods to eradicate them.
Treatment: Oil Seeds Removal
- Chemical Peel – An alternative to laser treatment. The efficacy from this treatment will be the downfall of Oil Seeds.
- Erbium YAG Laser – This method sees to it that the laser beam is accurately trained on the oil seeds and remove them permanently.
-
Benign Mole Removal
As we knew, not all moles are removable, yet not all of them represent malignancy (threat to our health). Nonetheless, one should seek for doctor’s advice before opting for removal. Benign moles could be removed by using Q-Switch Nd YAG Laser and/or Erbium YAG Laser, to equally good effect.
-
Double Chin
Double chin is never a nice sight, and the worse part is, it’s not always associated with weight gain. It occurs when the layer of fats around the neck sags as we age, causing wrinkles and a false impression of having 2 chins at the same time. Besides that, keeping a constant chin-down posture or even genetic inheritance could contribute to this unappealing phenomenon. Fortunately, there are ways to help overcome this problem.
Treatment: The “K-Chin Lift”
Our specialized treatment focuses on the removal of excess fats, and even better, on stimulating collagen renewal to enhance the lifting effect:
- Multifunctional High Intensity Focus Ultrasound (MFHIFU) – This cutting-edge device with multiple depths delivers the very specific energy required to stimulate the renewal of collagen in our skin, hence “lifting” the face and do away with double chin.
- Long Pulse Nd YAG – This laser functions slightly different than MFHIFU, as it also helps burn away excess fats other than stimulating the renewal of collagen.

Face Slimming
In the Asian women community, a slim jawline that contributes to a narrower and oval-shaped face is generally considered more attractive and desirable, in contrary to squarish, chiselled face. Large, bony structure which could have been developed from masseter muscle enlargement from hard chewing or habitual teeth clenching, and hence may require surgical bone resection.
Treatment: The “K-Face Slimming”
A simple, safe, yet effective technique to shrink the masseter muscle mass is by using Botulinum Toxin A Injection, a procedure that requires no downtime with result that can be appreciated from 1 – 4 weeks’ time (subject to individuality).

Jawline Contouring
Discerning women, and sometimes even sophisticated men, grew dissatisfied with the appearance of their jawline over time. While some complain about saggy skin and chin dimpling, others detest a receding chin, making them lose some of their jawline’s definition with a facial appearance that is less trim and youthful. For people who wish to improve their jawline aesthetics, a number of non-invasive (non-surgical) solutions are available through the use of a combination of various treatments:
- Sagging Jawline: When the skin around the neck starts to become loose, it condemns your jawline to look droopy and less distinct. Fortunately, with Dermal Fillers Injection, Multifocus High Intensity Ultrasound, Bipolar Radiofrequency Device and/or 4D Lift , we could practically turn back time.
- Chin Dimpling: Condemning one to a small, pointed Chin with very undesirable formation of wrinkles caused mainly by the loss of muscle volume due to aging. Combination treatments may be necessary using Dermal Fillers Injection and/or Botulinum Toxin A Injection.
- Receding Chin/Weak Jawline: Having a smaller chin or less prominent jawline are due to physiological anatomical formation of one’s own body. These conditions could be accentuated by using Dermal Fillers Injection.
-
Nose Augmentation
Having a smaller and flatter nasal bridge is almost genetically predetermined in most Asians. Getting an augmentation for a more prominent and contoured nose is hence, very popular amongst Asian Women, and sometimes even men. At the K Klinik, Augmentation is professionally performed non-surgically with Dermal Fillers Injection.. However, achieving an overall ‘balance’ with the face is still, and always will be the key to best results.
-
Chin Augmentation
Small and under-grown chins are almost always from hereditary of our ancestors. Aging is also another contributing factor. One of the popular methods to alter this problem is having an implant inserted by going under the knife, but non-invasive Dermal Fillers Injection can do the job just as well nowadays, thanks to technological advancement. The K Klinik strongly advocates that all augmentation endeavours should best be done fittingly and moderately for a well-balanced appearance.

Lip Contouring / Enhancement
It is widely perceived that a fuller, slightly puffy lips is more attractive, and sometimes even regarded as appealing in a sexy way. A healthy lip shouldn’t appear with too many noticeable dry and thin vertical lines. The best and possibly the single most effective method to pump up the lips is with Dermal Fillers Injection. It should be done in a balanced and well-gauge manner for that classy, alluring lips that would impress even Angelina Jolie.
